I do not think he did- when one reads Pope Francis’ Letter and Encyclicals, it is clear that Christ and the Church were the center of his thinking. He was very different than the two previous popes in his approach to the many social and cultural dilemmas of his time as Pope, and as much as he was not as crystal clear, he never veered away from doctrine. Many claim false narratives of him. I would be filled with joy if we had a new pope like Benedict XVI or JP II but God allows what He allows. As Catholics and members of the Mystical Body of Christ, reverence, respect and prayers should be any and all commentary in regards to any and all popes. God is our judge alone.

Can you honestly say that the late Pope Francis, Benedict XVI, or John Paul II did much to bring disgraced Cdl. McCarrick, Msgr. Burrill, Mark Rupnik, and other sexual predators to justice? Sins of omission can be more serious than sins of commission.
