The outrage about Florida's alleged encouragement of slavery in its schools is contrived. A truthful examination of what is actually being taught, and the reasons for its opposition, is revealing about the educational aims of the modern left.
Favorite passage: "The question here is not really about slavery at all, it’s whether children can be taught real history, nuance, and critical thinking, or whether they are merely to be the recipients of information so curated, deracinated, and reshaped that it can only honestly be called indoctrination."
In my view, Sarah's observation here is among her most salient points concerning the matter in FL and elsewhere. Critical thinking skills vs indoctrination. One requires thought and asking questions questions. The other mere acquiesence and conformity. Well done.
Lots of great ideas here Sarah. I would love to see a full length article from you on surrogate mothers. I cannot understand how this practice is legal, much less why it is celebrated.
Excellent article. We are in the Cultural Marxist Revolution ala Gramsci. Inversion and deceit. No substance to any of their arguments other than a hidden agenda of dismantling Western Biblical Civilisation.
The selective, hysterical outrage expressed toward things like this indicative of both a coming peak in the hysteroidal cycle and a seriously ponerized media and political establishment, both suggest an impending political crisis which, God willing, will result in a renewal of a more sane leadership. But it may also result in a tighter grip by the Pathocracy.
Its important to make these rational critiques of the hysteria and to expose the paralogic and paramorality that governs our times. It encourages those who sense something is wrong to know they aren't alone and empowers those who sense something is wrong but can't put it into words.
TL;DR: these folks are nuts and spewing evil nonsense. Keep up the good work.
At issue is not allowing truth and light get in the way of an agenda. The Marxist agenda abhors truth and light, akin to Satan. Moreover, where is the outrage from the caterwauling numskulls over the fact the first American slave owner was negroid? Let me add to the hypocrisy from these cretins, as in the negroid units that voluntarily fought for the Confederacy are not really recognized. Yes, there were free negroids in the Southern Confederacy. What is quite frequently overlooked or dismissed is the reason for the American Civil War, which was the multi-tiered government system, which favored the Northern States, while punishing the Southern States. In today's society, we are experiencing many similarities.
There is further failure to recognize America's first documented slave owner was negroid. Moreover, it fails to recognize negroid military regiments on the Confederacy side. Furthermore, it fails to teach the real reason for the Civil War, as in over-reach of the federal government that favored the northern states, while punishing the southern states in commerce.
As another note, the biggest lie being taught, is America is a mob rule democracy, which it is not. The government is a Constitutional Republic, based on Republicanism, which favors the individual, not the government, like democracy.
There is a easily debunked delusion that "Slaves built America" that is like gathering up 50 men, giving them all the tools needed to build a castle and expecting them to build one of equal quality to if you simply did it yourself. It is akin to a professional chef giving a dad cook truffle oil and caviar and expecting him to make a Michelin star dish with it. The rejection of the full story of slavery is simply "European man bad" as any positive nuanced to the full story may domino effect into other gray areas.
Very informative and on a vitally important topic. I like how you can narrate your own voiceover - that’s so much better than listening to the annoying AI voices!
I can conceive a world in which slavery could be acceptable. With a prohibition to sell persons and separate families; in which, as Plato says, the institution be in favor of the slave (there are many ways in which this can be truth: for instance, if the relation is analogous to that is lord's and serves in Christendom). But it is impossible to conceive an acceptable surrogacy: it is always against the dignity of the surrogate. But that's not even the main issue: it's a tool for making babies on demand, outside the natural way, producing abortions like it's nothing, usually for homosexuals, ETCETERA. The amount of problems is huge, inexhaustible.

I actually did write a full article about surrogate mothers for Catholic Answers earlier this year. You can find it here: https://www.catholic.com/magazine/online-edition/the-difference-between-love-and-surrogacy
Thank you, I missed this, but now have read and enjoyed this article.

So very true. Having trade skills is what, is moving poorer Americans into financial independence. Sharing this post on Other Social Media.

Why is it they only refer to American Black Slave Trade?
The Romans and Egyptians were there centuries before , and I wonder how these people would deal with the sentence below.
Anthony Johnson (AD 1600 – 1670) - The First Legal Slave Owner in America Was a Black Man.
