This piece was published in Crisis Magazine. The introduction follows:
I recently spoke to a former public-school teacher who now teaches homeschool students online. She had experienced the expected depredations in the former arena: the introduction of divisive critical race theory, historical revisionism, and the permeation of woke ideology into every crevice of the curriculum. But there was something more. “We can’t tell any stories,” she related. Every story that has been shared across generations can be (and has been) sullied by those who proclaim that their mission of social/racial justice hinges on the eradication of Western culture.
Thanks Sarah for another article that cuts to the core of the matter, and is beautifully written. Like Bruce Cockburn said in a song, "You gotta kick at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight."
So sad to see our past trying to be erased!!
