Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 applies, quoting verse 10 (NAB) ‘Even the thing of which we say, “See, this is new!” has already existed in the ages that preceded us’ what is footnoted to 3:15 reminding us that God restores.
Submission to sin is enslavement to these senseless trends. Who would want such dehumanizing behavior? The enemy, who is our own sinful nature in the final analysis.
