Valuable, I am going to pray that your other readers will take the time to read this and then truly implement it

Sarah...

.loved it....I think of Adoration in this manner. I find the peace and quiet of church during Adoration delightful. I would find it difficult to read by candlelight, but who knows. Hmmmm.

Keep up the good work Crusader Gal.

love ya,

Quite so. After Compline, I shut my phone off. Too bad if anyone needs to reach me.

I really like that.

This really speaks to me. Lucky for me the Good Lord has provided me with a home in a location absolutely surrounded with silence and solitude.

I just went through the fourth power outage since last November and I so appreciated the absolute stillness and complete darkness that gave my mind and soul the opportunity to think without interruption each time and meditate and contemplate the most important thing in life-preparing my soul for eternal life.

Walking along a beach in a dense fog with only the sound of the waves is a perect time to reflect and pray. Eventually the sun will drive off the fog but for a period everything is softer, muted, less distracting.

Sarah - thank you again for reminding us to step away from our modern “conveniences” to focus on what is really important for the health of our souls. I agree with Jack’s comment about Adoration….. spending quiet time with Jesus (as long as someone’s cell phone doesn’t break the silence). I will remember you in prayer as I light my candle this evening.
