Surrendering Truth for Peace
When unity replaces faith, truth is the first casualty.
Pope Leo XIV has been in the news for joining with King Charles III to “pray together”. This union is being celebrated by our secular media because they do not care about the faith, so displays of religious apathy look like progress. Having religions who praise one another is akin to having no religions at all, and amounts to religious indifference. To the modern journalist, a faith that no longer cares about truth is finally safe, for it has ceased to exist in any meaningful way.
When prominent protestant cleric, Kyle Paisley, said King Charles should abdicate the throne if he prays with the Pope, he was mocked. But we should respect that Kyle cares deeply. Instead, we are largely drowning in the nauseating tepidity of multiculturalism—that disgusting assertion that we would be better if we were indistinguishable, and which has no regard for what “flavor” of murky wins in the end. Rather, we should desire only conformity to that which is true and good. One’s faith is not his favorite Sunday morning club, but the lens through which he judges all things, for it is his pronouncement of that which is true. That is why it matters, because otherwise we live a lie, worship falsely, deny Christ’s commands, and risk our salvation.
Would Leo XIII have agreed to an “ecumenical” prayer? No, because the Catholic Church opposed ecumenism in every instance prior to 1960, for it was considered spiritually harmful to misinform Catholics and non-Catholics about what we believe. Would the long line of English martyrs who gave their lives rather than giving assent to the error of Henry VIII’s religion? The question answers itself.
The Church of England (“Anglican church”) began with killing Catholics so that the King could get a divorce and then incrementally abandoned the Church’s teachings one by one. Thus, now a pro-abortion woman masquerades as Archbishop of Canterbury, in a mockery of the faith and of God. The blasphemy is layered, but few people care anymore.
The first archbishop was Augustine of Canterbury, who was sent to England by Pope Gregory the Great and arrived in 597. Those missionaries who traveled to the British Isles did not encourage the false religions of the English, but taught the truth of the Gospel, leading to the eventual conversion of the country, starting with those at the top of the nation’s hierarchy. Nowadays, missionaries who went to a foreign country to spread the faith would likely be condemned by the hierarchy for proselytizing. Instead, they would be encouraged to engage in a mutual adulation session, whereby they find and over-emphasize “things we share in common.”
Given Pope Leo XIV’s encouragement of King Charles III, we might ask about the conditions that English Catholics reside in today. We are quickly reminded that England is not a friendly place these days for Catholics… or, for that matter, for Anglicans. England is a country in which it is not socially acceptable to be Christian. Its laws trample on the God-given rights of the English people. After all, they have a natural right to defend themselves and their families, but they are prevented from having the means to do so. They have a natural right to speak the truth of the faith (including the uncomfortable teachings) and are arrested for doing so. These rights are written into Natural Law and cannot simply be cast aside by any temporal power, including a king presenting himself as a moral authority. Will Leo XIV be speaking out on behalf of his people?
Much has been said recently about poverty, so let us look at England’s true destitution. Alas, it is spiritual as well as material; the latter the obvious product of political decisions. England has a hunger crisis—one in four children are now living in homes where people skip meals due to finances. It is a statistic that worsens with every passing year.
Immigration policies have overwhelmed social services, including housing, schools, and hospitals. To prevent the complete collapse of those services, taxes are staggeringly high, with a 20% national sales tax in addition to an income tax, followed by taxation on gasoline that amounts to 65% of the purchase price. Recent talk has implied that the solution to poverty is to place further burdens on taxpayers, in order to fund the importation of a replacement class of migrants. In effect, that means taxing the poor further.
The immigrants being imported into England are invariably Muslims from Africa and the Middle East. They bring cultural assumptions at odds with Christian civilization, including a desensitization to violence and disregard for law. When coupled with England’s defenselessness, native people simply become victims. Gangs of Muslim men raped English girls with impunity for decades before it was exposed, and even then, the perpetrators received short sentences. The moral cowardice that enabled those tragedies still governs England today.
Are we to pretend that none of this matters?
That’s the underlying thread behind religious indifferentism—it is the assertion that none of this matters anyway. It is the outrageous claim that truth is negotiable, that we can recklessly disregard the moral law, that we can remake God as our mascot rather than conforming ourselves to who He is, and that our civilization will be unaffected. Reality refutes these lies. Rather, we can see that the West crumbles in exact proportion to its abandonment of Christendom.
What we need are shepherds who will once again proclaim that Christ is our King. We cannot kneel to error, give countenance to apathy, pretend that all creeds are equal, or imply that moral law bends with fashion. The Church must again speak the truth with authority, for only truth can heal the nations.
There are currently some 4,000+ people in the UK who are in jail, their lives now destroyed, for the "crime" of voicing an opinion or telling the truth about the true state of the UK. The price of spiritual ruin leads to moral ambiguity whereby one can no longer trust even their own senses. For instead, they are expected to deny the truth of what they perceive and instead live the lie of moral unconsciousness that disconnects one from life.
Sarah, this is truly one of the best articles you've ever written. And one of the most important. All of Europe has fallen under the spell of moral ambiguity in the name of diversity and harmony. Look at Sweden. They used to be one of the safest nations on earth. Today, things are so bad that the police no longer investigate crimes such as rape, assault or robbery. However, if you post anything on social media critical of diversity, they will arrest you an destroy your life.
It's clear that evil is taking over the UK and all of Europe. They've destroyed spiritual mortality and replaced it with spiritual indifference. Do whatever you want if you're a foreigner, but if you're a white citizen who tells the truth, you are now a criminal.
They're pushing for digital ID, central bank digital currency and a complete loss of personal freedom. They want to replace God with an all powerful state. It's a horror show. They way out is a return to spiritual faith and morality.
The tyrants who wish to rule with an iron fist know they cannot do so over a people whose morality is firmly based in God. They can only rule over chaos and moral indifference.
