I wanted to provide a health update, in light of all of the well-wishes and inquiries that I have received. I had the gallbladder surgery, which was successful.
I'm very glad to hear you are on the mend, Sarah. Hope you will soon be fully recuperated. You really summed it up perfectly, how sobering it is when things we more or less take for granted -- sometimes the most vitally important things -- are suddenly gone or greaty diminished. Reality always wins, as the saying goes. Bless you!
We are happy your surgery went well and look forward to your articles and videos. it is true, that you are never alone, your life is a clear example that Our Lord and His Blessed Mother along with a host of Saints in Heaven is with you and watching over you.
Warmest wishes for a swift recovery, ma'am.... I am happy that you were able to get this done before it was no longer possible (and the imminence of this is disquieting, to be sure).
Be well, dear lady, and may God grant you continued good health.
Believe me... I can identify. Emergency appendectomy and almost the exact same scenario with the removal of my gall bladder. Except with the gall bladder it took 10 days to convince the doctor there was something major wrong. Your articulateness is very much appreciated. Godspeed!
Thankful prayers that your surgery went well and you are on the road to recovery. As a Catholic, I believe that if we offer our sufferings, no matter what they are, up to Jesus as reparation for our sins and in thinking of His sufferings for our redemption, it makes them more bearable. And I believe that they can lead us away from our worldly thoughts and desires and towards a path to having more trust in Him.
Thank you for this encouraging update. Since it was delivered in your signature wellspoken, deliberate and reasoned style it's quite obvious that you are truly well on the road to recovery, which is heartening to realize. You will remain in my prayers because you're a sister in Christ, and your voice of reason is greatly appreciated, not just because of your medical situation.
Glad to hear you are feeling better! (I'm also glad you're back to writing. I've missed you in my inbox!)
The very best of wishes for a speedy and complete recovery!
