Actually he has begun to disappoint, he said "To all of you, brothers and sisters from Rome, from Italy, from all over the world, we want to be a synodal Church" which promotes the modernist idea of “synodality” in such a way as to destroy the traditional concept of the bishop’s threefold power of teaching, ruling and sanctifying his flock. but as you say, prayers are needed, without our prayers. he is sure to fail.

You will always be disappointed when you believe the Novus Ordo/Modernist counterfeit church born in the Second Vatican Council, could have any leaders who believe, defend and protect the true Catholic religion.

Oh no, he just made another disappointing statement, here is what he said “…I would like us to renew together today our complete commitment to the path that the universal Church has now followed for decades in the wake of the Second Vatican Council. Pope Francis masterfully and concretely set it forth in the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, from which I would like to highlight several fundamental points: ...growth in collegiality and synodality (cf. No. 33); ... courageous and trusting dialogue with the contemporary world in its various components and realities (cf. No. 84; Second Vatican Council, Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes, 1-2)."

Unless he publicly proclaims the truth that the Second Vatican Council ushered in a new false religion based upon the synthesis of heresies that Pope St. Pius X identified as Modernism, he will continue the destruction of the true Catholic religion that began with John XXIII's opening of this council and up through Francis, the most obvious destroyer to date.

As a Traditional Catholic, I have some reservations, but I am greatly heartened by the comments of Cardinal Burke and Cardinal Sarah, both of whom spoke positively of Pope Leo; and most importantly, promised to pray for him. I firmly believe the prayers of these holy men will be graciously received by Almighty God.
